Mornington Peninsula re-classified as “Regional”
With the latest shutdown in place there is no doubt that times are tough. However, through co-operation between Landlords, Tenants, and us as Managing Agents we are determined to see it through and get back to business.
We believe the Mornington Peninsula should be re-classified “Regional”, the same as Geelong and Country Victoria. We should be getting the same incentives available to “Regional” areas.
🔹Payroll Tax – Currently 4.85% but if we were “Regional” it would be 2.02% from 1st July 2020/21, 1.62% next year dropping to 1.2125% the following year
🔹Stamp Duty Concessions – If purchasing property for a Qualifying Commercial or Industrial use the reduction in Duty on new contracts is 20% from 1/7/20, 30% from 1/7/21, 40% from 1/7/22 and 50% from 1/7/23. This is to encourage development in Regional areas
🔹Regional Development Victoria – Access to the $500m Regional Jobs and Infrastructure Fund
