Local Market Insights

  • Commercial and industrial properties in the Bayside Business District (BBD) are holding up well in the early stages of the pandemic induced slowdown.  There is a sense that the ‘working closer to home’ trend may in fact strengthen.
  • Recent activity has been sector based, with the construction-related industries being the most active in both buying and leasing.
  • The BBD is constantly evolving and growing.  Joining ALDI is a new Dan Murphys store, both of which have been particularly busy during the pandemic.  The rail removal on Park Road is well underway and the new Bayside Netball Centre in Talinga Road will add further to the many attractions in the area.
  • Small industrial sales and leasing in this precinct are the “market darlings” along with investment properties leased to businesses who can adapt to the changing business environment.
