Geoffrey Crowder Auctioneer & Licensed Estate Agent
Geoff started in real estate with his father and brother in 1958 after working with the stock exchange of Melbourne for a year. In 1961 he travelled overseas and spent 2 years as a valuers assistant in London. He returned to the family business and qualified as a valuer and estate agent in 1966.
Geoff is a past president of the REIV Mornington Peninsula Division and a delegate on the Members Council for over 40 years.
John Crowder & Sons was at one time the largest family owned real estate business in Victoria with 8 offices covering most of the Mornington Peninsula employing 65 people.
Upon the passing of his father John and brother Ian, Geoff took over as Managing Director of Crowder & Sons until the business was sold to a public company in 2006. Geoff now works with his sons Michael and Tom at Nichols Crowder and remains active in the local community.
In October 2013, to his great surprise, Geoff was awarded the REIV Presidents Award at a Gala dinner at Crown Casino in front 1100 guests, for his outstanding service. It was a very proud moment for his entire family, friends and colleagues.
